Woodford Reserve Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA

Forman product. A great tasting Bourbon that uses an unusually high proportion of rye grain in the mash bill (18%). What also marks out Woodford Reserve is the use of triple distillation and the inclusion of pot still whiskey. All this makes for a flavoursome and smooth whiskey that can be mixed in high-end cocktails or drunk straight with a little ice.
Nose - quite thick and creamy. There are notes of honey and spice, leather, a touch of cocoa, a little smoke, toasty oak and vanilla cream with a hint of butterscotch.
Taste - The palate is thick and full. There are notes of espresso beans, winter spice, cereal sweetness, plenty of rye, ground ginger, almond oil, toasty oak and a little rum. Ginger Ale best then Cola, Soda Water and Coconut Water fine, never Green Tea.
Finish - long and mature with notes of cereals and toasty oaken spice.

@1901 😂😂👍
@arcarey very good. I'm sure there are some interesting insights alright. I see no evidence of family bias in your ratings anyway :-)
@1901 Hi. No my son works for BF in London. He is a brand manager for Jack. He gets to visit Lynchburg quite a bit - gives me insights into whiskey given the work he does to know his market.
@arcarey you mentioned elsewhere that your son works for them. Does he have a hand in production?
