Nose: Sharp and dry peat, salted caramel, grapes, tart apples
Palate: Oily peat smoke, pears, ginger, cinnamon and more baking spices
Finish: Ash, tobacco, more pears and back to the baking spices as the finish goes on forever.
This really is something special and one of my favorites. A whisky that fights you a little before you gain it's trust and unlock it's secrets. I bought a second bottle before there was even a chance that I would run out. It's magnificent.
