Pappy Van Winkle 23 Year
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA

Last of 1/2 oz pours of pappy Van Winkle flight. Has notes of leather, orange, cherry, chocolate, caramel, pepper, and wood. A bit overoaked at first but with time you will get some of the bright 15 flavors in the oakiness. Liked this or the 20 the most.

@PBMichiganWolverine That or the Nippon III flight (Hakushu 18/Yamazaki 18/Hibiki 21/Komagatake 30/Ichiro Port Pipe/Yoichi 20)
@worldwhiskies95 my finance gal usually takes me to a bar or pub for our quarterly portfolio review. I’m suggesting this Brandy Library for Q1 review...and have her buy the flight
@PBMichiganWolverine I was lucky enough to try the 23 and 20 last week. Is it worth the hype? Yes, they are both fabulous. Would I pay 4,500 a bottle, hell no. I liked the 20 a little better.
The flight was $92, the required armagnac I chose was $38
Not sure if the bottle is worth the price but the flight is. Next time u head to the city u should definitely check out any of brandy library, copper and oak, on the rocks, wheated. On the Rocks is very close to the Lincoln Tunnel and Brandy Library is very close to the Holland Tunnel.
Worth the hype in your opinion?
