Tasted at Deanston distillery. (1 year ago)
This is a very complex and tasteful whisky.
Just so smoky, meaty and full of flavors. Amazing stuff!
I will write some detailed tasting notes as soon as I open the bottle that I bought right after my fist sip.
The low score on this one was bothering me because this is simple put - brilliant!

@AntonioSchmid Ah interesting after doing some digging off the back of your comment I see they are an South African company Distell who own a whole host of brands including Amarula (the SA version of Baileys). I never heard of them before.
@Soba45 Exactly, but they are same group so you can buy the whole range of Deanston, Tobermory, Ledaig and also Bunnahabhain in one place! 😄
Ah nice, would love to go to Scotland and visit a bunch of distillery's. I have a sample of this so looking fwd to it. I struggle a bit with Ledaig type of peat but the finishes really complement nicely and help boost it overall. Question though isn't Ledaig distilled at Tobermory distillery not Deanston?
