Bourbon — Kentucky, USA

The proof jumps out on the nose, maple syrup, oak, roasted pecans. It has the traditional characteristics of a single barrel. Dark amber, first glance you know this is mature and yes it will remind you of Buffalo Trace. Taste is smooth, sweet and spicy, more oak will develop. Finish is medium short. A classic! Sometimes I catch a slight sour note that reminds me of pickles.
