I like Rye bourbons if done well and for the price I think it's a decent drop. Quite rustic - spice, good kick of rye. Not much complexity but for $35USD here in NZ for 700ml bottle equivalent I wasn't expecting quantum physics on the palate. Bit of a weird aftertaste lets it down.

@Scott_E Yeah my love of the rye flavor makes me a lot more forgiving of other flaws I think. I generally seem to rate ryes higher on average than most people which is rare as I'm usually the other way with my ratings :-)
@Soba45 @PBMichiganWolverine For me, I couldn’t click with it. It was thin (flavor and viscosity) as a sipper.
@PBMichiganWolverine Yeah you're right. Not one I'd be desperate to try again. I do have a weakness for rye bourbons so that usually adds a .5 rating bonus in of itself :-)
I always thought this was too soft and one dimensional, but at the price...it’s not much to complain about. They have a new 10 yr old out now, which sounds more interesting
