Neat. Aroma of light peat, honey, vanilla, oak. Thinnish mouthfeel with all the aroma notes..wildflower honey sweetness, a friendly wisp of iodine from the peat, oaky vanilla.. all in equal parts. There's also a very faint hint of coconut rum. Flavors fade fairly quickly with a little peat and tea-like tannin.
Overall, very unique, approachable, and balanced. The peat is there but plays an equal role to the prettiness typical of Irish whiskies. I think it's a wonderful marriage of Irish and Islay. I would definitely like to see what a few more proof would bring to the table

I totally agree, I would love to try this at a higher ABV! I get a lot of those lighter herbal notes now, but I wonder if there's be more of those deeper notes in there with a little more alcohol.
