One of the most intoxicatingly delicious noses on a whiskey ever.
Nose: Pipe tobacco, rich sherry notes, fig, dates, toffee, dark chocolate, walnuts.
Palate: The proof is a little disappointing and it feels watery. But the flavors are still amazing. I can only imagine how amazing a cask strength version would be. A lot of the nose carries through on the palate. Milk chocolate covered dates and walnuts. Honey, sweet tobacco, biscuit and fig preserves. A beautiful whiskey but I’m just left wondering what if...if the proof where at least 46 or higher.
