The nose is pleasant, with sweet and nutty notes. The flavor profile features a little nuttiness similar to macadamia. The vanilla of the barrels comes through as well. The whiskey is mellow, and one can taste a bit of the charcoal it's been filtered through. Very good, but I'd choose a bourbon over it almost every time.
