Pretty muted dram flavour wise. Malty, woody caramel, mild sherry. Middle of the road taste and high price.

I really agree with you
@Generously_Paul nice, good score! sounds like I'll be enjoying my sample :-)
@Soba45 the 18 was superior to the Cigar Malt IMO. Snagged a bottle at auction for $100, they go for $235 where I’m at. For $100 it’s a no brainer. For $235 it’s also a no brainer, just in the opposite direction
@cascode Haha yeah. I should just copy and paste that each time I taste a dalmore and that can be the review :-)
@PBMichiganWolverine Yip. After running through the reminder of my dalmore samples that'll be it for me!
@1901 So far the cigar malt has been the winner for me but just at a 4 rating. The 18 year i have a sample of so hopefully it surpasses it!
@Soba45 "Middle of the road taste and high price" - the best summation of Dalmore KA ever.
I think Dalmore doesn’t shine until you go in the higher ranges. Personally, why bother. Other better ones at a better price
I had this at WhiskeyLive at wasn't overly impressed either. I preferred the Dalmore 18yo that day and it is €85 cheaper.
