Tasting neat. Beautiful deep color. Nose is ethanol, leather, oak, with some butterscotch and baking spices. Taste starts out sweet and rich. All the sugar flavors are deep and complex.. a mix of butterscotch, caramel, brown sugar with stone fruit, vanilla, hot cinnamon, and a little baking spice in the background. Think of a well done peach cobbler. Savory leather, oak, black pepper, toasted nuts, cocoa powder, and smoke are all players and stand equally with the sweet side. The finish is medium long and dry. Overall balanced and complex. There's a lot of flavors here and none of the notes overpower the others.
