The nose of this scotch features heavy handed notes of peat and tar over fruity undertones of apple and pear.
On the palate, the drink features a sweet fruity flavor, heavily masked by harsh notes peat. A harsh afterburn lingers in the mouth.

@Daniel-Feldmann Powers John's Lane and Green Spot would be favourites. I see you're a fan of Green Spot too. Knappogue 12 and Tullamore 12 recommended too. All time best are two Midletons I tasted:Barry Crockett and Dair Ghaelach. Pricey but delicious!
@1901. Why, thank you! Do you have a favorite Irish? I am always looking to try new whiskeys, and would love to hear about any good brands I should try.
@Daniel-Feldmann I'm partial to a good Irish myself and you have some fine ones listed.
@1901 I have not had a ton of experience with scotches or peated whiskeys. i tend to drink Irish whiskey or bourbon. I do enjoy trying new things however.
"Harsh" review :-) I had a sample of this for the first time last month and loved it enough to grab a bottle. Have you liked other peated whisky?
