This would almost seem to belong in the LIQUER section of Distillr with it's lower ABV and its mix of apple juice and a cinnamon stick that floats in the bottle. For what it is, it is very good. I keep some in the freezer when I have friends over who are in the mood to "shoot". It also makes an excellent summer cocktail mixed with club soda or ginger ale. In the winter it heats up nicely for a good toddy. I'm not a fan of flavored spirits, but I can appreciate when one is done right, and Midnight Moon Apple Pie is done right.

@Benji-Robert Sipping NC: the Art of Drinking. They took down a lot of their episodes. Not sure if the Broadslab is still up or not.
@BDanner interesting! do you remember the podcast name/source? And it is definitely a trip I will make one day back visiting, also.
@Benji-Robert, there was a podcast about NC distilleries/breweries/wineries that ran for about a year and a half. Jeremy from Broadslab was one of their first guests. Seems like a stand-up guy who does it the right way. I’ve been meaning to carve out time to stop on one of my many trips up I-40. Just haven’t done it yet. I will definitely pick up a bottle locally based on your recommendation.
since you said you are in NC I'll pass along a tip: broadslab white and broadslab apple. from Johnston Co but it pops up in ABCs around the state. dare I say it's the best white/shine made for commercial distribution. The apple is a dangerous bottle.
