Oak and carmel on the nose. Explosion of oak, ethanol heat, and spicy sweet grain in the mouth. A little linseed oil, oak, and eucalyptus astringency between the mouth and finish. Then vanilla, nuts, earthy cereal and malt, oak and spice on the long finish. A big whisky that will open up with a little water/ice. It's also young, and would probably be a lot more interesting with more time in wood. Would help justify the hefty price too. Still, worth experiencing another unusual (in a good sense) product from an inventive distillery.
