Wild Turkey Rare Breed Barrel Proof Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA

Celebrated National Bourbon Day with this and forgot to post. I try to not read reviews until after I’ve first tried something so I can have my own opinions but on this one I wish I had. Unless it’s a cocktail I almost always enjoy neat. Whether it’s cask strength or bourbon cream, I figure if they felt it needed water they would have added it. This is a vanilla bomb but it’s also very hot. Too much so IMO. I added a little water for my last couple sips and it was much better. I got more caramel and burnt sugar where before it was all just burn. If I had read reviews I may have used a little ice or a whiskey stone to at least bring the temp down but I didn’t. I will next time and adjust accordingly. Either way...enjoy!
By the way, this is the vaunted GC version of this. If you don’t know what I’m talking about google it. It’s supposed to be a rare breed within the rare breed section
