Hands down favorite whiskey. Strong, rich, and flavorful. Packs a punch of spicy sweetness. Loads of barrel, I mean wood pouring in. Dominates the palate. Sweeeet, thick sticky sweetness. Intense! Spicy! Most intensely flavorful whiskey I've ever had. Just a mack truck whiskey. Not for the lightweights. 10/10

Agreed this is absolutely fantastic.......huge upgrade to standard JD
@BeppeCovfefe old no. 7 has been my go to every day sipper for the past 9 years. I have gone through over 40 bottles of it. I love it. However, on this bottle everything gets amplified, every note is extreme, and old no. 7 has an alcohol bite that turns most people off, this does not have it. I would suggest you try them side by side, the brown sugar and vanilla notes, the wood and spice notes on this sob, are old no. 7 on roids and coke. It's just the upper level jack I was looking for, same notes just richer, sweeter, stickier intensity. Now, the regular single barrel didn't really do it for me, I see no reason to spend the extra money, not so much advanced, but this barrel proof version is hands down the best thing I ever drank. You can trust me when I say this is IMPROVEMENT. I share with your exact thoughts, but only pertaining to the regular single barrel.
Having tried this a few times now, oddly enough I just don't find it to be a huge improvement over standard Jack, not anywhere near the difference most "barrel proofs" make over the standard proof lineups. I would attribute this to likely be the lincoln county process overshadowing the proof strength, it's an odd aberration.
