This is a great daily drinker. It has enough complexity to keep me interested but doesn’t require much attention. No need to let it air out for a long period of time or play around with water, just able to pour and enjoy.
On the nose, I get apricot, caramel, and hay.
On the palate, I taste kettle corn, sweet cream, and touch of wood spice.
The finish is oily and mouth coating.
For $65ish, you really can’t beat it. I would probably still grab Springbank 10 over it but still great.

@cascode I bought mine from The Really Good Whisky Company and had it shipped. They’re currently sold out (but might be getting more). I believe Hedonism Wine has some in stock but you may need to buy a couple of bottles to make the shipping economical.
Yes, at a tasting, so only one small dram. It was as you would expect - like the 10 year but richer, more chocolaty and sherried. It wore the finish well. I've not seen a bottle for sale over here yet.
@cascode yeah, Hazelburn doesn’t seem to get get near the love that Springbank and Longrow do. I’ve really liked what I’ve tasted. So much so that I just bought the 14 Oloroso. Might be a while before I open it (too many open bottles right now) but really looking forward to it. Have you tried the 14 yet?
Agreed, finding the sweet spot with watering make all the difference with this one. A very pleasant and overlooked malt.
