Heaven Hill White Label Bottled In Bond 6 Year
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed

Medium amber in the glass. Legs start quickly but linger. Moderate viscosity.
A mild nose. Vanilla with a hint of peanut. Traditional bourbon smell, especially HH products.
Starts sweet. Green apple, peanut, a touch of char, nice splash of mint and proof spice on the edges of the tongue and then building through the long finish. Lingering cinnamon, cedar, and minty iodine.
Impressive, bold, balanced, and nuanced for the price point. Plenty of character without ever being rough. Would stand up beautifully in a spirit-forward cocktail. A lost gem - we’ll see what its 7-year replacement is and costs soon!

@dmoyer yeah we’ll have to see. I only ever had a sample so will only have a faint memory for comparison.
Never got to try this either, although I just managed to pick up a bottle of the standard 6 yr in Kentucky a couple of weeks ago. Best $13 bottle ever! Hopefully the 7 yr will be more widely available.
@OldDude @BDanner I’d expect it’ll compete with the Old Ezra 7 yr old, so maybe in the same price range (approx $40-45)
@BDanner Heard the 7yr should be out around Oct this year, right?
I hate I never got to try this one. One the plus side, the new 7yr should be more widely available.
