The nose is vanilla and spice.
Very woody at first. Long, dry finish. It takes a while for all the flavors to develop- this is a subtle bourbon. There is a strong sweet rubbing alcohol like flavor from swishing it around my mouth. Amidst this, there is a grassy and floral flavor - I get strong rose petals that come out over time. There is a sweetness, maybe apples on the tip of the tongue. I also get marshmallow.

@PBMichiganWolverine yeah, I get it. I think that it's only going to get worse because the production time is so long, and the popularity seems like it's only going to go up in the foreseeable future.
@Spamin76 it’s just frustrating to see something that’s really $35-40 priced $100+
@PBMichiganWolverine I can find it in the sub $100 range, but I do need to hunt for it. I pass through a lot of small towns on a regular basis, so I always hit the rural liquor stores.
@PBMichiganWolverine Well well well, I understand the recent increase in the popularity of whiskey... prices reflect that. Maybe this whiskey has an inflated sense of self worth lol. Yeah I couldn’t reach that top shelf with my step stool (Mrs Old Dude won’t let me on a ladder anymore)🙄. I’ll keep grazing the middle shelf, thanks my friend.
@OldDude I literally was able to buy this for $30 just a few years ago. Now..:over $200. WTF?!?
Wish I could find this one in my neck of the woods
