To me, Eagle Rare is the definition of a good, casual bourbon. There’s enough there to be fun for someone who is just getting into bourbon, or for the seasoned drinker to sip and not think about. Personally, I find it better for drinking absent-mindedly amongst friends, but find it a bit boring if I'm drinking it as a contemplative night cap. Casual bourbon drinkers might end their bourbon journey here, but I prefer something with more depth and higher proof.
