Although I originally tasted this four months ago with @PBMichiganWolverine, as he mentions in his review, I’ve been waiting to revisit the additional sample I kept from his bottle before posting a review. It did not disappoint. In addition to the beautiful balance of sweet and savory flavors, I loved the oily, mouth-coating texture of this whisky. Smogen, I’m smitten.

@PBMichiganWolverine Looking at my score looks like it's a tie between Smogen and Mackmyra. I haven't had a bad Nordic one yet but as you say well overpriced!
@Richard-ModernDrinking speaking of—-we need another tasting eve. After Labor Day.
@Soba45 out of the Nordics, I’ve liked Smogen above the others—they seem to be at the same level as their Scottish cousins. But...they’re pricey.
Enjoyed this one a lot too. Nice Review as always
I quite liked their cask strength full peated bourbon cask effort. Wasn't completely well rounded but good for its age. There are nearly 60 nordic whiskey distilleries in operation now. Quite liked Mackmyra, Teerenpeli not to bad, have samples of Spirit of Hven and Box (High Cost - changed name cos of Compass Box lawsuit I believe) still to try.
@PBMichiganWolverine No kidding: 100 pounds for 50cl. I think their volumes are tiny.
I was surprised by this as well. There’s a 8 yr out now, but seems pricey
