Nose is has very slight hints of pine (although not necessarily classic juniper), but then earthy mint and spices. The first sip is a blast from the past. They say they wanted to put Indiana forests in liquid form, and I think they did it. The light pine and herb flavors kiss your tongue, then the interesting and very pleasant mint, presumably from the Zuta, chases the initial flavors away and lingers wonderfully, leaving a warm sensation. When used in a Gin and Tonic, the sweetness of the Tonic accentuates the mint, making the feeling even better. Overall, this is an excellent Gin. Probably not an everyday Gin, given the heavy mint flavor, but when you are in the mood for the mint or missing the forest, this is a remarkable Gin for the job.
