The nose is fruit and oak. On the palate I get quite a lot of spice, butter, and apple. This is very hot without water, but not in a bad way. It's hard to identify the heat.
With a splash of water, the nose opens up a bit showing caramel and spice, wood, and perhaps a light hint of vanilla.
The butter and spice is even more pronounced with a splash of water. It's still hot, but the hotness is more cinnamon and pepper than ethanol. The apple is still present but I get a bit of char and rye now.
