Nose is surprisingly unsweet for a rum. Notes of grasses and vanilla and subtle banana.  First sip is very funky, with oak and banana and several unidentified flavors coming through. Finishes bittersweet with just the slightest burn. This is an interesting Rum, but definitely not my favorite. The funk is a little too much neat or on the rocks, and the others flavors aren't strong enough to make it stand up to an Old Fashioned or Manhattan.
