Rested 10 minutes. Served neat in a Glencairn. Light brown color
Nose - caramel vanilla wood char, raisin, ethanol, a slight bit of candied cherries
Palette - woah, very special and really complex. Unlike any bourbon I’ve had. A mix of raisin bread, caramel, vanilla, cinnamon apples, aged oak, in no particular order. Really silky mouthfeel.
Finish - a very unique heated finish. Caramel on the backend with a syrupy mouthfeel finish.
It’s gonna take me a couple of times to get my taste buds around this one. It has a lot going on, and I can’t put my finger around some of it. But overall, very special, very good. Pretty rich. Highly enjoyable.
