Color is copper. Nose is a little strong on the ethanol initially. As the ethanol is pushed aside, definite fruity notes emerge, and eventually chocolate. First sip is a little strong, but has a sweet, fruity undertone. Flavors present more clearly with the second and following sips: simple sugar, oak, and more fruit. The finish is mild spice and fruit and a tongue tingling/drying sensation from the proof. Overall, this is a very enjoyable Bourbon with strong flavors abounding, you just have to be ready for the strong alcohol nose and finish.
