A pretty flawless whiskey... although that doesn't come with a dose of excitement. I'd like to try this at 46% and luckily for me I have samples from that abv to cask strength buried in my cupboard so stay tuned for those reviews. Creme brulee, butterscotch and more...very very drinkable but I think I'd get bored of this if i had a bottle...and there is the price...

@Clarkebar The best type of homework :-)
@Soba45 Understand completely and agree some 95% of the time. I suspect you've been at this longer than I (not an age reference, just makes me a relative newbie to this at nearly 66). I like being a student at this age. Lots of homework.
@PBMichiganWolverine. I tasted the Barry Crocket a few months ago, and had I written a review I could have stolen some of @soba45's lines above. To me it was flawless but not exciting. I remember thinking that it was a whiskey that I could truly appreciate, but really love
@Clarkebar True I think I tend towards combos now e.g. peat and sherry or bourbon finished in a unique oak for excitement. If a fair bit cheaper I'd buy a bottle
Agree about the proof but for blended whiskey this is just superb drinking. When whiskey is this good all around I never get bored. LOL. Slainthe!
@Rick_M Look forward to it :-)
@PBMichiganWolverine I got hold of the BC (2nd time trying) and a single CS Edition. Sadly none with irish oak..I love trying new types of oak and wood e.g. Ardbeg Kelpie
@Soba45 - yes, a good one. I have a review coming on this as well.
I’ve been meaning to try this one. I’ve also read their Dair Galech (sp?) and Barry Crockett are really good. A bit pricey though
