Color is a pleasant orange color. Smell is an inviting orange sweetness. First sip is moderately sweet orange, but does not overpower the palate. The sweetness quickly transitions to the signature bitterness. The bitter is definitely present, but it is much more subtle as compared to Campari; it is much easier to palate on its own, but still stands out in a cocktail.
