Enjoying neat. Nose is white sugar, herbs, agave, aloe, pear...very little ethanol heat Taste is complex, balanced, delicate. Starts vegetal with cooked agave, cane sugar, then black pepper, mint leaves/tarragon/cilantro, lime pith and leaves. Finish builds and is drying with some fading sugar leaving you with citrus peel. Mouthfeel is balanced, mineral overtones. I believe this is additive free and I don't taste any artificial or masking flavors. Very little alcohol heat.
Overall it ticks all my wants as a highland grown, stone oven baked, tahona crushed, open fermented, copper pot distilled, spring water, additive free tequila. Honest, flavorful and all at a nice price point. Tasting with Siete Leguas, which has nearly the same region/process pedigree..and this is more delicate, smoother, and herbal, where the SL is richer and punchier..equally great
