A beautiful, harmonious spirit with a taste that embodies the region from which it was born. The peat is almost overpowering, and may turn some away. But that same bold peat overtone is what makes this scotch a true joy to the pallet. The finish lasts for what seems like an eternity. I was eventually left wondering if the neighbors had fired up their chimneys, but it was indeed the Laphroaig 10 providing me with a hint of Isla on a chilly night. Smooth, powerful, and pungent, a true Isla wonder.
