750ml neat in Glencairn at home. Really looking forward to this one. Nose has tons of citrus, primarily lime and grapefruit, over a base of herbal agave with a brine kicker. Hints of smoke and sea air, though I cannot honestly say if that is due to Lagavulin expectations. Taste is more agave forward, with citrus and smoky oak coming on. Definitely get the smoky Islay finishing coming through. Reminds me of a very good mezcal, which is a serious plus, particularly at this price point. I really like this as a sipper, and but for the guilt I am sure I would feel, I would love to try this as the base in a fantastic margarita. Strongly recommend. 10/28/19.
