Act 7 Scene 6
Finished in french oak port barrels.
Nose - Classic Rye notes. Super sweet. I get some dusty oak but then there's a well aged wine barrel note. Really different, not overly spicy. The rye and port really make for a plum pudding like note.
Taste - Light berries, very little up front, then there's light oak notes. The finish brings out some vanilla and bitter oak.
I like this one but I'm pretty disappointed given the hype and the effort i had to go through to get this one.
2.5 - dessert rye whisky but lacking complexity to be higher up.

@dhsilv2 I had an act 3 which till today still is in my top 10. I have an unopened bottle of act 2. Will one day pop that as well
@Scott_E I didn't have it back in the day but yeah...there's no wow here. Very good, quality, sweet, whisky. Not great, not special, and a bit boring.
@dhsilv2 @pbmichiganwolverine ugh. I really want this to be as good as it was. Like watching your favorite athlete degrading over time. You root for them with anticipation that they we be who they were in their younger days.
@dhsilv2 their post -acquisition by Constellation stuff isn’t anywhere as good as their early acts 1-4
Act 7 Scene 6
