when you're low on funds you start looking towards ol evan and this one was a good surprise. 17 bucks later here i am. lots of vanilla, caramel and a bit of oak on the nose. going in there's a kick in the teeth and then brown sugar/caramel notes playing over vanilla and assorted spices, which moves into a corn sweetness and lingers with more caramel and spice. the oak comes in from time to time to say hello. not the smoothest or most complex but it's tasting pretty good while i check my bank account.
