Some people think better whiskey is always more expensive. This Irish whiskey shows that’s untrue as it’s much better than some more expensive whiskies. The nose is light but complex with lemon zest, honey, beeswax, fresh cut grass, tea, and a damp warehouse aroma. Palate is sweet with grapefruit juice, brown sugar, apple juice, and caramel. Finish is spicy at first but quickly fades becoming long and smooth with malt and pepper flavors. I bought this bottle for St Patrick’s day, which I thought was appropriate, and was impressed by this whiskey. Great value.
