I love this color! I actually bought it for the color, but kept it for the taste. It's bourbon-esque (is that a word), with a kick of rye. If you like bourbon and rye, it's for you. Not really comparable to Scottish single malts or blends at all. Worth a try---but pricey , can get better value elsewhere

And if the number is greater than 1, it's a good value for money. If less than 1, not as good. Doesn't work where emotions defy logic ( like Brora, Laphroaig 32, etc)
Aaah yes---the valuation method. It's simply ( Distiller score + average user score ) / ( average price without tax)
Enough data points
Wait sorry---it's Distiller score + average score, then divide by average price. The other formula works when you have enough to

Aahhh, yes---my valuation methodolgy. So: 1) you take the Distiller score and add that to the average star score by reviewers here. Then, 2) you take that sum and divide by the total number of users, plus 1 for that Distiller reviewer. Then, 3), you take the price and divide by that number from step 2. If it's greater than 1, it's a great value for quality. If it's 0.85 to 0.99, it's decent value to quality. If it's less than 0.85, you can do better. Of course, there's outliers like ultra-premium (Brora, Karuizawa, Laphroaig 32, etc). Doesn't apply where emotion runs above logic. Try it---you'll see Laphroaig 10, Ardbeg 10, Lag 16 as the highest.
Yeah, two years really ages you😉! But what is your valuation method? As I recall it was somewhat mathematical like dividing the price by the number of stars???
But, I did notice I tend to write more and am more descriptive than I was 2 years ago. I'll chalk it off to old age verbosity...😊
Hey GeologyJack: not sure I'd but Hillrock again---personally, I think it's too pricey from r what it offers. Can do better elsewhere---Westland, High West, and Wyoming Whiskey.
Pranay - didn't expect to find you here in the American whiskey section. So how has this held up in the 2 years since you opened it? I'm interested in your "value" determination but can't find where we discussed it previously.
