Was excited to experience the added flavor profile of the toasted French oak. The nose was surprisingly harsh making it hard to discern the deeper profile. However once you sip and let it sit there's a nice warm almost caramel flavor that emerges. Not the smoothest, however the flavors within the surprisingly harsh whiskey is rather enjoyable.
