Neat. Tasting the entire Altos line..first time for the añejo.
Nose is sweet, ethanol bright, fruity, barrel oak and must.. Moderately thin mouthfeel, honey/light caramel sweet, a little char, a little dessert nut (hazelnut/macadamia/almond), cinnamon, mint, and just barely some of the herbal notes of the younger expressions.
Big fan of the younger expressions, and this is true to the brand The añejo notes are lighter than other cheap añejos, but also tastes more natural. Additives seem restrained if not absent.
Great value, haven't found a better anejo for less $
