Compass Box Myths & Legends III
Blended Malt — Scotland

Been trying to buy less but I just had to get at least one of these and I went with the blend.
Nose - fruity, waxy, vanilla. There's a bit of oak and a touch of salt and earthy notes at the end.
Taste - vanilla, cream, followed by some earthy elements, some peat, bitter notes. This is a nice reasonably older tasting blend providing the fruity elements that compass box so often seeks out with a light touch of peat. It was about 150 bucks which is a bit too much as seems to be the norm lately with compass box. I'd love to have the 3 bottles for display but I'm pretty happy saying I had this one and calling it a day here.
2.5 quality scotch, but nothing special.

@Anthology MSRP was 500 and we had some here locally until just a month ago. I'm sure there are many more out there. The one I knew about was in kentucky.
@dhsilv2 Where are you still finding T&TA at MSRP? Also what’s the “msrp” where you are?
@dhsilv2 that’s really good—I’m in the NYC / North NJ area—if it’s available, it’s over $600+
@PBMichiganWolverine maybe I'm lucky but I've not seen any compass box fly off the shelves. I can still get Tobias and the Angle at msrp.
@dhsilv2 @Rick_M as much as I like CB, I find their one-offs priced quite high now. I know that’s the market, but I feel if I’m going to be spending on a limited CB, i’ll Wait to read a few reviews first. On the downside, by the time I pull the trigger, it can be all gone or priced even more
*Phenomenology
@Rick_M I think this one was value for money, but just barely. 125 and I'm saying buy and this one from reviews was the most likely one for my profile. The edition 1 I was told was a slightly lesser version of the 99 which I love but can still get for 40-50 bucks less. This was however more unique and if you like the phenmololgy and stranger and stranger, I think this with a touch more peat is in your wheel house and might be worth it.
I’m a big CB fan but I’ve passed on these thus far until I see some better reports.
