Tomatin 12 Year Bourbon & Sherry Casks
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland

The nose is dominated by butterscotch and sweet fruit. More sweet fruits on the palate dominated by pear, along with some nuts. The finish is a little sharp.
I’ve had Tomatin 12 on a few occasions and it’s always seemed a little bland to me. Recently I tried it alongside the rest of Tomatin’s offerings and it was my least favorite. If you’re looking for an introduction to Tomatin Scotch, I’d recommend the Dualchas which is $11 cheaper.

Nice review. Overall I have had good experience with Tomatin 12, but have had a couple bottles afficted with the notorious "baby-puke" syndrone.
Nice review. The Cu Bocan Virgin Oak was a great dram however my favorite was a 18 yr single cask which was great stuff!
CuBocan was my first Tomatin, loved it. I've since had the 12, 14 Portwood, and just cracked open the 18. So far my favorite was the 14, but the 18 has a lot of promise (I just had a wee taste of the neck pour last night and it was still a little cold from shipping).
Might try the Cu Bocan as well
Yeah the cask strength is on my hit list
@Ctrexman Yes the Dualchas is a great value. I find it very similar to Glenfiddich 12 at 2/3rds the price. My favorite Tomatin was the 15 year moscatel cask. That stuff is awesome. The cask strength is also a great scotch and decent value.
Need to revisit this one its been a while but I second the Dualchas
