Neat. Nose is oak, vanilla, agave, or even alcohol. Lightish mouthfeel. Taste starts with sweet agave, pears, herbs, oak, vanilla, mild alcohol that builds after several sips. Finish is tart with a touch of sweetness, black pepper
Overall, balanced, as in not overly thick and sweet, allowing some spicy and slight herbal notes to show. Additives seem minimal. I can appreciate the honesty as most inexpensive añejos seem like additive bombs. Not my favorite anejo, but so far near the top of my list in the $30 range. Would buy again for everyday sipping
