Sampling it neat, it has a clean spicy rye nose and taste. There are notes of vanilla from the wood and a tiny hint of sweetness from the small ration of corn in this bill. Overall a well balanced dram. To me, a watery mouthfeel due to the charcoal filtering--but, many others prefer that.
