I compared Florida Cane premium handcrafted vodka with Tito's and with Sobieski. All were tasted neat.
The nose of this vodka has traces of sweet sugar, compared to the Sobieski which had a more antiseptic smell. The Tito's nose was even less pronounced.
On the taste there is a bit of a chemical overtone, a note of artificial sweetener, and almost a tart finish.
In comparison the Sobieski had a much rounder and creamier mouthfeel, and a more integrated flavor that seemed more neutral.
The Tito's has a slightly sharper note that brings in traces of citrus on the back end.
In the order of the way I like them, the Sobieski is the best of this round, followed closely by the Tito's.
The Tito's works really well in anything that wants a citrus bias, where as the Sobieski is better in an alcohol forward concoction such as a vodka martini.
Unfortunately I can't really recommend the vodka under review here for anything other than a sweet mixed drink. Not a chance I'm buying another bottle. I am sorry to say, but at its price it is just not competitive.
