A bit thin and watered down, but I get banana, maple syrup, charcoal, and an odd medicinal note I can’t quite put my finger on, almost cough drop like. It’s very faint, but it’s there.
Side note - JD gets a bad rap amongst whiskey circles, but in a pinch I’d have no problem drinking this neat.

The barrel proof will make you rethink JD entirely.....what the brand is capable of, its that good
@Ctrexman agreed, nothing to write home about, not a particularly great value either, but all that said, it’s not that bad! Have yet to try the barrel proof yet, will put that on my list. Probably my biggest grievance with JD is how watered down/thin it feels. I bet barrel proof covers that nicely.
I know I souond like a broken record but anyone who remotely likes JD MUST try the single barrel barrel proof. its a monster
Agreed its not as bad as some make it out to be..........but not anything great like some would lead you to believe
