The peat is layered and strong, but not overwhelming - a bit punchy on the nose. On my palate it was like a brinier Kilchoman Machir Bay but not quite as salty or potent as a Talisker. In short, this may be called a Peat "Monster" but it was in fact a deceptively complex dram that I'll be sure to return to.
