Pours a golden straw color. Smoke and some fruit sweetness on the nose. Palate similar to the nose with smoke, light fruit sweetness plus an earthy peatiness. Medium mouthfeel and finish. I was able to try this side by side with Kilkerran 12. The Springbank is a fine whisky but I liked the Kilkerran a bit more. I felt the flavors in the Kilkerran were more robust. I'll be looking to try one of the 12 year Springbanks next.
