Nose- Honey, Caramel, cinnamon sugar, rye spices, citrus, and a unique baked bread smell. With water added a biscuity note starts to come out.
Palate- Spice coats the mouth, followed by a wave of caramel and bright citrus. Adding water doesn’t change the palate much- but does take away some spice and replace it with creamy vanilla notes.
Finish- Long, drying finish with notes of toasted oak and honey
Fantastic nose for such a high proof bourbon. The palate is good- but didn’t amaze me and is very hot. Not as impressed with this one as I thought I would be. A bit one dimensional, albeit enjoyable.
