Cellar door Barrel #1
Nose-caramel, vanilla, orange cream, cherry, honey, spice
Palate- caramel, oak, orange zest, musty, cherry cobbler, vanilla
Finish- Medium, drying finish of cherries and traditional bourbon notes (vanilla, caramel, oak)
Surprisingly a very good bourbon for the age. Exceptionally smooth with a medium finish and oily mouthfeel. Nothing stands out, but is very balanced and a great traditional bourbon. If this is what New Riff can do with a 5 year bourbon, i’m looking forward to what they have in store for the future.
