Blended Malt — Osaka, Japan
@Rick_M I think I’ll pick it up just because the wood profile combo is interesting. Because of the lack of transparency, not a Japanese whiskey I’m going to hold on to—-instead will pop it open soon and enjoy.
@PBMichiganWolverine - got a call from a retailer on this one. Only 2,400 bottles worldwide. Also, found the wood profiles interesting, and decided to buy after reading backstory.
@Rick_M i just looked up this Sheri. It’s really interesting—-mizunara, oloroso, and PX. That is an amazing combination. It’s for $114 here innNJ
@Rick_M just read it...it’s convoluted and complex, you’re right; .but, as long as it taste good, who cares where it’s made or how.
@PBMichiganWolverine - it’s a convoluted backstory. Check out the below link. It’s rumored to be teaspooned Chichibu. I bought to drink so don’t really care about pedigree. https://thewhiskeywash.com/whiskey-styles/world/so-about-that-kaiyo-whisky/
@Rick_M is this really Japanese as in made and distilled in JPN? I thought it was a mix of Scottish and US, just aged in JPN?
@Rick_M yeah I was really surprised by the flavor profile
Bought this recently. This a good report.
