I’m not a complete novice but I’m not very sophisticated either. This whiskey was hands down the best I’ve ever had. I knew well enough to have it neat and really explore the bouquet of flavors and it did not disappoint. I’ve had ryes but this was not nearly as spicy as the typical one. All I can say is that it really expanded what I thought was possible in American whiskey
