In a weird-ass MAGA bar in Trump country with more camouflage hats than teeth.
Neat: buttery and smooth. Mild smoke, not too much burn but a little. Almonds and some port wine resins. The finish is honey and prickly brown leaves. Deceptively easy to drink, or maybe I'm just hurrying it up to get tf out of this place.

Excellent strategy. Bottle regret is a real thing. I just wish I had more options close that carried more than the Basic J's (Jim, Jack, Jameson, and Josè). A downside to this relatively rural existence. Black Barrel is definitely on my short list to try next.
@BDanner Considering I am a true N00b to this scene, I enjoyed how "rounded" it is. I have been doing the neat-at-the-bar thing to explore rather than committing to a bottle I may not like.
I've always been interested in trying this one. Maybe a pour in the bar is the way to go.
